There's something archetypical about her - the way she looks and the way she acts - that that plugs into something a little deeper than I maybe first realised when I was creating her.īut I am honestly blown away by the way people react to her. I get a phenomenal amount of fan art for this character, and the only way I can rationalise it is there's something 'id-y' about her aesthetically. I think there's something to do with Mia's aesthetic. I think as our contemporary world grows darker, we're attracted to darker stories and darker characters and characters that explore that aspect of our psyche. something to do with the attraction of an anti-hero. I've been thinking about that a lot recently, and the short answer is I honestly don't know.
